Pardon the dust...

It's getting dusty here on my blog! But I really have been enjoying my break. From Saturday the 4th  to Sunday the 12th my family and I took a trip down to Florida. We had a very relaxing time. Our resort had 7 pools and we really were in the lap of luxury! We swam much of the time and we were able to go to Coco beach for a day. It was very beautiful. I have missed posting... and I hope to be posting more soon, although probably not as much as I did this summer. I have been busy these past weeks and with more school work and chores I will be trying to organize my time. So it's nice to be back, I think my break will be over, now that I am more organized and refreshed. :-D

Our friends from church have finalized their adoption of their little girl this month. We decided to celebrate by having an open house party at our house in honor of their two girls. We invited the whole church, which was a little scary thinking about, but it went very well. We had about 64 people come. We cleaned up our garage, our neighbor was getting rid of their game table so we decided to use it for the party, we had the yard and the rock box. Plenty to do. :-) It was an ice cream themed party; Neapolitan colors. (Pink, brown and white.) We made tissue paper flowers to decorate and we had lots of ice cream, fun and smiles.
 It was actually not too messy here afterward. I think every one had a good time. :-) ( My mom should post more about the party on the family blog soon.)

Fall is definitely on it's way, although we are still have some hot days. Our crepe myrtle bushes are still blooming pink flowers, but its leaves are actually changing colors too. It looks some what odd all blooming, with fall colors... :-)

As you also may of noticed I have changed my blog header to a fall leaves picture. That's a picture from last year's leaves but I thought it looked nice. :-) Hopefully I'll post photos of fall leaves this year soon. I am ready for fall!

I have been very blessed lately. God has been so good. It's a joy to go on vacation and it is also nice to be home entertaining. No matter where I am I hope Christ will give me joy and contentment. Because where ever am He is there with me.
