Purity should be a big issue through out our life. In the way we think, act, and communicate. What we see and hear plays a big part on the way we live our lives. If I went to a rock concert every Friday that played music with inappropriate words. That would effect the way I think and act, even if I didn't believe anything they said. If I was to hang out with people that dressed immodestly and acted inappropriately than I might start to believe little by little what they were saying and doing. We should be careful what we feed our minds. We should be careful who we hang out with, and what activities we spend our time in.

Psalm 24: 4-5

Philippians 4: 8-9

James 1: 27

A Purity Prayer

Heavenly father,
Give us your guidance and wisdom as we go through out are day.
Give us strength to face the temptations we come across.
Help us to please and honor you in the decisions we make each day. Give us self control, and reminders of scripture. Give us the knowing that we are not alone in the path of purity. Help us to love you and desire you more every day.

Here are a couple movies that you might like, that are whole some:

-Fireproof ( This is a great movie, not just for married couples. It is a good movie for any age, I think.)

-Facing the giants ( I like this one because it shows how, through God all things are possible. Luke 1: 37.)

-Return of the daughters ( I highly recommend this documentary. This movie encourages young ladies to live their lives biblically, in a God honoring way. We also own this one if any one is interested in borrowing it.)

- The last sin eater ( This is a great movie. It is some scary scenes in parts of the movie, but worth the watch.)

Do you have any movies you would like to share?

Have a blessed day!

Ideas To Keep Warm and Busy

My very odd combination of socks. :) I will do anything to keep warm! Today it was 51 degrees outside! Brr!

Here are 5 ways to keep warm and keep busy inside.

1. Wear socks and sweaters. It is fun to mix- match colors when your staying home and no ones going to be seeing you. ;)

2. Five Minute Chocolate mug cake

1 regular size coffee mug
4 tablespoons flour ( Plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
some nuts ( optional)
small splash vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well.
Add egg and mix thoroughly. Pour milk and oil-mix well.
Add chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla-mix well again.
Put mug in microwave and cook 3 min. on high.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug. Don't be alarmed.
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
This will serve two depending on person. Enjoy!!!

*Some advice on recipe*
I would add a bit more milk and put it in for more like 2 and a half minutes. It gets a bit dry other wise. I shared this with my sisters. In my opinion it is way too much for one person. Also it took me a little more time than five minutes to make it.

3. Drink hot cocoa and curl up with a good book. Here are two suggestions of books.

Educational and Biblical Book
~Lies young woman believe~ By Nancy Leigh Demoss and Dannah Gresh

Entertaining and good literature
~ Understood Betsy~ By Dorthy Canfield Fisher

4. Write a poem about Autumn or Winter. For inspiration you might want to write it outside or look at pictures of nature or Draw a winter scene, knit a scarve, while listening to seasonal music or while watching a winter movie.

5. Make decorations out of fall leaves, pine cones, and pumpkins for your front door or porch.

Do you have any special things you do this time of year to keep busy and warm?

Have a blessed day!!

Blessing with in Problems

Here are some pretty common annoyances and problems, and some things that you can be thankful for with in them. Now maybe these have not happened to you in this exact way, but just think about your situations during your life. Couldn't it be worse than it is? Look at the blessings in your problems, look how God provided!

1.Your car breaks down 2 miles away from home. There is nothing but trees and an open road around. Your cell phone is dead and your only choice is to walk.

Be thankful that you have an able body that will allow you to walk home. You have a stroller in the back of the car, be thankful you don't have to let the little ones walk the whole way. Be thankful that you actually had a car in the first place. Maybe you'd being walking two miles every time you went some where any way.

2.You cleaned your home especially for company. But, an hour before they're supposed to arrive, they call saying they got the flu.

Be thankful you have a sparkling clean house and a peaceful evening planned just with your family. Be thankful you don't have the flu, after all it is a lot worse not being able to go to a friend's house, and being sick!

3.The last of the cookies your Grandma made are all gone.

Be thankful that your Grandma was kind enough to make them in the first place.
Be thankful that your blessed enough to have not just food, but sweets in the house. ;)

4.Your house catches on fire and burns your kitchen and garage.

Be thankful that your house is fixable and it did not burn to the ground. Be thankful that no one was hurt and that you were home and that no further damage was done.

5.After a month with a new oven, it breaks down and it can't be fixed for a whole week.

Be thankful for take out, left overs, micro waves, and toasters. You still have a chance for easy meals with out a oven. Be thankful that your stove has a warranty.

6.Your camera malfunctions and deletes all the photos from your vacation.

Be thankful that you kept a vacation journal and are still able to remember and picture the memories in your mind. You bought a souvenir, and bought a photo from the museum, of your whole family by the biggest dinosaur there.

7. You have been saving up for a certain product for months. When you finally have enough money to purchase it, you find that it is sold out.

???? Write your ideas for being thankful with the problem above. :)

Hope you are having a blessed day!

The comings of fall,

and the......

Goings of spring.

As the leaves turn there colors, shades of orange and red, the others that have shown their colors, will dry and nod their head. Dead and withered will no longer be, but the promising of spring will further ring.We watch the trees grow blooms and flowers, and then red and orange, will once more become and hum a brilliant song of autumn winds and sharp sweet breezes.
