Purity should be a big issue through out our life. In the way we think, act, and communicate. What we see and hear plays a big part on the way we live our lives. If I went to a rock concert every Friday that played music with inappropriate words. That would effect the way I think and act, even if I didn't believe anything they said. If I was to hang out with people that dressed immodestly and acted inappropriately than I might start to believe little by little what they were saying and doing. We should be careful what we feed our minds. We should be careful who we hang out with, and what activities we spend our time in.
Psalm 24: 4-5
Philippians 4: 8-9
James 1: 27
A Purity Prayer
Heavenly father,
Give us your guidance and wisdom as we go through out are day.
Give us strength to face the temptations we come across.
Help us to please and honor you in the decisions we make each day. Give us self control, and reminders of scripture. Give us the knowing that we are not alone in the path of purity. Help us to love you and desire you more every day.
~Amen
Here are a couple movies that you might like, that are whole some:
-Fireproof ( This is a great movie, not just for married couples. It is a good movie for any age, I think.)
-Facing the giants ( I like this one because it shows how, through God all things are possible. Luke 1: 37.)
-Return of the daughters ( I highly recommend this documentary. This movie encourages young ladies to live their lives biblically, in a God honoring way. We also own this one if any one is interested in borrowing it.)
- The last sin eater ( This is a great movie. It is some scary scenes in parts of the movie, but worth the watch.)
Do you have any movies you would like to share?
Have a blessed day!
What a fabulous post indeed!!

ReplyDeleteI would like to borrow "Return of the Daughters" sometime. We have "Widow's Might". Have you seen it? It was made by a homeschooler.
ReplyDeleteMiss Lydia,
ReplyDeleteWe will bring "Return of the daughters" to Church if you want us to. If your going to Reformation day maybe we could bring there. No, we have not "Widow's Might". Is it a good movie?
