I have been very blessed this fall.
I've been continually working on school, among other things. After a summer break, I usually really enjoy school. I try not to think about "getting it all done" for the day and try to focus on learning. Having a good attitude helps. (some days that's what's lacking.) Putting a smile on and telling your self that learning is fun!, can be key to having a good day. Asking God to help you be joyful, effective, productive, and giving Him the results is very important.
Things I've been up to:
~I stitch ripped an old broken zipper out of my favorite jean skirt and replaced it with a new one. That's the second invisible zipper I've sewn. (Yeah!)
~I am working on a costume for our church's yearly reformation day. I usually buy a dress from the thrift store and decorate it.
~I have been wanting to make this dress, but unfortunately I have not been able to go to the craft store.I hope to go soon. It's all up to Mom when we go.
~I have been inspired by fall and wrote five poems the other day. I can never just sit down and write a poem; I have to be inspired.
~I've been enjoying our writing program, I am a little rusty after my break, but I love a challenge.
~My piano teacher has already given my sister's and I some Christmas songs. One of my songs is "Mary did you know"
~ But the best blessing of all is that...... my mom is pregnant! Her due date is in March. We don't know the gender yet, but I am really excited to have another brother or sister. We should find out the gender on Oct. 26th. My mom should be posting more about her pregnancy on the family blog. Do you think it will be a boy or a girl? Number seven... We have three of each, so we'll be happy with either! :-)
~Also Sam, Joe, My mom and I all got sick a couple weeks ago. After a week I still felt sick. Then for about four days I felt nausea only after dinner. My mom suggested that maybe I was lactose intolerant. I only have milk for dinner. So I stopped having milk and have not been having any dairy. I feel good. I am going to try for about a week with out dairy and then I am going to have a glass of milk, see how I feel then. I am not completely sure I am lactose intolerant. I just have to give it some time. :-)
~ I have been working on crocheted and knitted squares, too. It's fun to learn new stitches. I've been getting new books from the library each time we go.
I know I have not been posting that often; I hope to be posting more soon.
Now that I have rambled through my brain; I want to know what you've been up to!
Congrats big sister! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like your update ;)
Wow, Leah, you have been busy!! =) You must be so excited for your new little sibling...I know I would be! How sweet!
ReplyDeleteYou should post photos of how your costume is coming along; I'd love to see it!
I completely agree with you about writing. It seems that whenever I am supposed to write (for school), I have a hard time coming up with something; but when it's just spontaneous writing, I get a ton of ideas! =) Hmmmm...
Love in Christ,
~Annie~
Sounds like you have been really busy! I am so excited for you about your new little one! I would love to see pictures of your projects!
