A Post of Sorts...

I love to celebrate. How about you?
On Sunday, the third, we had our dear friends over for a very yummy dinner and went to the county's fireworks display. Yummy food, good friends, and fun fireworks.

Did I mention that our friends make beautiful, delicious cakes?

Waiting for the fireworks to begin
The best part about fireworks is anticipating them before. :-)

We tried our best to make the fourth a productive day. So, we organized the garage.
Sounds fun, huh? :-)
Yes. Depends on your perspective, but fun none the less.
We made a lot of progress for a much needed clean.
For dinner we went out to eat at the Italian restaurant where our uncle works as manager. It was very nice. After dinner we were surprised to see more fireworks from the restaurant windows.

So, life has been very celebratory.

I thought I'd share a few other things, too. So here it goes.

One. My sister has the voting up for her poetry contest and every one  has done a great job on their poems. Maybe you should head over and vote, too. :-)

Two. Lots of giveaways over at Ashley's blog! So many beautiful prizes...

Three. One of my favorite photography blogs, just has the most inspiring photos! This week their showing holiday photos. Would you like to see? (Click here)

Four. Doing a little CAT testing. Sharp pencils and crisp test papers. Fun.

Five. We had some thunderstorms move through. Before the storm descended yesterday evening, upon the whole sky,  the clouds looked very much like cotton candy. God's creation is awing!
What have you been up to? How did you celebrate Independence Day?

  1. Weeeellll....We spent our afternoon on the 4th in the ER! My Mom had surgery last week and her wound became infected so off to the ER we tripped in our red, white and blue outfits! We did get back home in time to have hamburgers, which I made. (They promptly feel apart whilst frying because the meat was still a little frozen.)
But we did stay up late to see the fireworks from the baseball stadium which we can see from our backyard. They were very pretty.
Hope you have a good day today!

  2. Aw... I'm sorry! :-(
I hope your mom is healing quickly. :-)
    The ER is not fun!

(We seem to be going there more and more as my little brothers get older...)

How many siblings do you have? :-)

I hope you were able to enjoy the holiday! Mmm... burgers!

    How neat!
Fireworks are a must on the forth. :-)
I bet the baseball stadium gets pretty loud sometimes.

Thanks for sharing your forth. :-)

    Blessings,

    I looked up your business!
I don't have a face book, but my grandma has one. So, I was at least able to look at it. :-)

It looks really nice. :-) Your embroidery is amazing! And all your crocheted and knitted shawls, scarves, cotton cloths are beautiful!

Do you like knitting or crocheting better? :-)

I am glad that you enjoy my blog, but blogging wouldn't be half as fun with out comments from friends like you. :-)

    I hope you're having a great day!

    Blessings,
    Leah

  5. Aww, you're to sweet! Thank you for your complements!
I'm not sure which I like better. I have been doing nothing but crocheting pot scrubbies for the past two months! (To get ready for a craft fair.)
I think I really enjoy knitting more, I can make more things, as I am a intermediate in knitting and only a beginner in crotchet. :)
Thanks for a chance to be able to chat with you! (Some people just never answer their blogs :( )
