The bees were buzzing crazily in the yard. Happily landing on the plants in our yard. They all looked so cute. And very picture worthy.
The only problem is... I am sort of scared of bees.
They might be cute, but I am not to fond of them. Their buzz always makes me on edge and the carpenter bees keep me on my toes. But I keep telling myself that I need to conquer my fears. I haven't accomplished that so far. They make me nervous. I have a fear on my mind that their out to get me. Ever since I got stung by a yellow jacket and... alright before that too... I haven't really enjoyed their company.
So, out I went with my trusty camera hoping to get a few good photos. I held my head high and tried to act courageous as I carefully dodged a few bees flying around. I got a few photos and stood a few feet from my enemies. They watched my every move, laughing at me. They eyed my nervous figure suspiciously. Their evil buzzing ringing in my ears. A few bees ( Probably killer bees by the look or... maybe bumble bees) flew by me trying to scare me back inside.
By this time my sister had come outside. She tried to assure me that they couldn't really sting. They were only the male ones flying near me. A bee flew by her and she swished her arm toward the bee. The bee quickly flew away.
I was feeling a little better. There were a few bees flying in the air fighting one another.
I tried to ignore them. Then to my horror they were over my head. My sister yelled. "Leah, it's in your hair!" I wasn't sure what to do. So I instinctively started shrieking. I screamed and squawked. Should I try and shoo it out of my hair?
It seemed to be stuck.In.My.Hair. After about 10 horrible seconds it flew out. Ahh... I got out of shock and gave a somewhat sheepish look. "I am going inside." I told my sister. She smiled. We both chuckled a little, as we quickly scurried inside.
And thus ended my story of the bees and me. The enemy still lurks out there somewhere waiting to attack.
Haha! Nice job making a, well, maybe not so funny story to you at the time a wonderful blog post! It depends on the kind of bee mostly to me weather I like it or not. They are "adorable" and a wonderful photo subject.
