The reveal!

 I did give you some hints by the pattern picture on my last post. It says skirt on the pattern piece and even the pattern number.           
Here is the pattern that I used for my project, the one I bought last June. It has taken me quite a while to start on it. :-) I bought the fabric and other notions before we were snowed in and finished the dress last Tuesday.
                                     I decided on view C. (The middle picture.)

And here is how it turned out...

I made it out of cranberry colored corduroy and wore a black top underneath. I added a scarf -which I've had for years and was surprised it matched the dress- and black heels. This pattern was fairly simple and other than the darts, I was familiar with most of the instructions and pattern pieces. It's very comfy and warm, too!

    Leah! Your dress is beautiful! (I love the color.) It is even more special because you MADE it. =) Great job! This motivated me to get some sewing done of my own, including a jumper. I'll post photos on my blog once it is complete. =)

    I am a new follower of your sweet blog, and have greatly enjoyed reading your posts. I must say that the dress you made is lovely! Sewing is such a wonderful hobby, and I enjoy it very much as well. I just recently sewed an apron, and a couple of months ago, I sewed a dress that looks very similar to yours! What a blessing it is to use your hands to make sweet things!

    Leah, that is so lovely!!! I love the flow of the dress, and the color is beautiful. Sewing is such a blessing, and now I am working on a skirt that I have started recently. It is such a joy and blessing to be able to work with our hands to create projects that glorify the Lord!
