Too wet to go out, too cold to play ball...

So we cooked in the house on that cold, wet, wet day.
With a few pounds of apples, ( 45 pounds to be more exact ) a few canning jars, we made apple sauce and filled 16 quart jars.

It's fun to work together in the kitchen with my sisters and mom. Cooking in the kitchen is especially satisfying on a rainy, cold weekend.

I did some sewing, too. I'm catching up on very belated Christmas gifts for my sisters and mom. (Hopefully more on that later...)

Ahh...Rain makes good homey days.

What do you like to do when it rains?

  1. I too love baking on rainy days... or reading is a sweet delight as well! The beautiful sound of water dripping, wind blowing, and all the glories of a rainy day.... what bliss!

  2. I think rainy days are good for studying...whether researching about submarines (oh that's what my research paper is about this time :P), doing a science module, completing a math lesson, or memorizing Scritpure! I really do like rainy days :)

So whether you eat, or drink or what ever you do,
do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
