Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2
I have been pondering what this verse is commanding us to do. Here are some of my thoughts that I wanted to share on Romans 12:2.
This verse seems to mean that we should do God's will and live our lives in the best way we can when serving him. "but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind" As human beings we seem to know in our hearts what is good and what is bad in the way we live our lives. If I thought about stealing something, then I would feel a little tug inside of me, some guilt, and questioning that I know that it is wrong. Some people who except Christ do believe in him but don't follow a Godly life and keep the same routine like any unbeliever. But, if we really love Jesus than we should try to please him every minute of the day. And if we really want to reach the people around us but we act like every body else in the world, they might not care about being saved or their religion. What I am saying is, even if we want to be normal, pleasing God and be different for what he stands for is more important than fitting in and being so called normal in this earthly, anti-God, world.

I love that verse. I believe that as we read and study God's Word, our mind is renewed and our thinking becomes more in line with what God wants. If we submit to His power in our lives, we will be transformed bit by bit.
