I can not comprehend that it is the 20th of August; the months fly by so quickly...
The warmth of summer is still in the air, and my mind is not ready cold weather just yet.
Usually when fall rolls around I am ready for it. But at the moment, I am enjoying the warmth. Today it was rainy and a bit dreary for a change.
I have still been reading Do hard things. It's a great book.
I am reading through Psalms, 2 Corinthians, and I read Romans 11. It is definitely food for the mind.
After my giveaway ends, I am planning on taking a blogging break for a week at the least, and most likely longer. :-) I need to focus my time a little more discreetly on literal life for a while. I am trying to get my schedule more planned out and organized. My sisters and I have been very bad as to what time we go to bed over the summer and I think we finally have a decent bed time schedule. We have also been walking every morning for exercise. It's a refreshing and motivating way to start the day.
I have been crocheting and I have requested yet another crocheting book from the library. :-)
This august has also been the anniversary of one year of playing violin... :-D I am not very professional or very skilled yet but it's exciting. I am practicing Minuet No.1 and No.2 composed by Bach. Of course it's not the original version of both songs but I like to practice songs that I know.
Well, there's my shortish ramble...
Now it's your turn, what have you been up to? :-)

It really feels like it should still be June. Summer went by faster this year than I ever recall it doing before! I kinda have this love/hate relationship with time.
ReplyDeleteI should re-read Do Hard Things. And I should actually finish reading Start Here. A bunch of stuff came up and my reading all got thrown aside, so I never really read it.
Leah, I have so many rambles to tell you now! First, I know what you mean about the months flying over our heads. You take your eyes off it for one second, and the next thing you know it's time for fall. Which I am actually looking forward to! I've had enough of the heat, haha! Man, I really need to go to bed on a consistent basis. And that lovely walk in the morning for a fresh mind sounds good to me :) I think I'll look into doing that. I have "Do Hard Things", but haven't finished it yet. I'm thinking of it, but I guess I shouldn't take it for granted. My aunt says she's gonna teach me to crochet. It seems hard. Congrats on the year of violin! I would love to learn. Right now I feel like I want to learn piano! I wanted to say thanks for liking my poem (yes, I wrote it =) Also, I found a hope chest! Yay! I found it at Ross & it's pretty small, but it totally looks like a hope chest. It was $30.00 but Mom says that's the cheapest she's found on them. Yes, I rambled pretty bad on here. Haha, that's cool--we do it a lot, I guess :) Hope your having a great night (or morning =)

Amber
