A Hymn for Friday

I sing the Mighty Power of God

I sing the mighty power of God, that made the mountains rise,

That spread the flowing seas abroad, and built the lofty skies.

I sing the wisdom that ordained the sun to rule the day;

The moon shines full at his command, and all the stars obey.

I sing the goodness of the Lord, that filled the earth with food,

He formed the creatures with his Word, and then pronounced them good.

Lord, how your wonders are displayed, where’er I turn my eye,

If I survey the ground I tread, or gaze upon the sky.

For devotions each day my family and I have been singing some hymns from a CD that teaches you four part harmony. So far we have only learned the melody of the songs. But it is fun to sing them. We are singing three songs at the moment. I thought I would share the words with you all, on one of them. Even with out the music to go along, the words are pretty. :-)

I hope you are having a wonderful day!
